Jacob Two-Two: Best Saturday Morning Cartoon!

By: Vickie J. Rubinson

Based on the celebrated author Mordecai Richer's delightfully irreverent books, Jacob Two- Two, is a stylish animated adventure series full of globetrotting, freewheeling international spies, mysterious neighbors, treacherous teachers, revolting cafeteria food and one very spirited boy.

The cartoon is accompanied by a cute, hip, Middle Eastern sounding beat. Jacob got his name two-two because he said everything twice. (Is there a little compulsive-obsessive personality disorder here?). He also manages to piss people off because he always tells the truth. Jacob's dad is an intellectual New Yorker who writes a series of adventure books.

The characters are colorful and endearing and this cartoon ain't just for kids. Grown ups watch it too!
Saturday mornings 8a.m. NBC 4.
