The Romanian head coach of Saudi Arabia's top soccer team was sacked and ordered to leave the country on Saturday for insulting the Saudi Royal Family a day after his team won the Crown Prince Cup, according to Al-Aribiya.
Al-Hilal team announced that Cosmin Olaroiu had been fired and the Saudi football federation ordered him to leave the country, one day after his team took the match in a 1-0 overtime victory over Al-Shabab.
After the fame, the volatile Olaroiu threw his shirt picturing Saudi Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz onto the ground in front of the prince's rep at the game, Riyadh Deputy Governor Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz.
Olariou, 39, was reportedly angered that organizers did not invite the entire team up to the podium to celebrate their victory.
"The Saudi federation has decided to suspend AL-Hilal coach and not allow him to coach inside Saudi Arabia in the future due to his unacceptable behavior after the end of the final match," the federation said in a statement.
