So how did it feel to hear his name called out once more?

"It was amazing!" enthused Waltz, who was surrounded by reporters from all over the world. "I feel like I'm dreaming. I was on a list with the greatest actors around: Alan Arkin, Tommy Lee Jones, Robert DeNiro and Phillip Seymore Hoffman.

"It really has so much to do with the other actors who were noted with me--and I insist on that difference--the fact that I was noted with them. I am in awe of the people who are in my category. They are all role models for me, since I started in this profession."

When asked how he liked working with Quentin Tarantino, Waltz exclaimed "Quentin writes poetry and I like poetry. When I read the script for the first time, I realized there was something special about 'Django Unchained'.  Page by page I knew there was something very special about this film."

Then another reporter asked Waltz a very bizarre question about the prospect of a black pope, to which he responded that race shouldn't be a factor. "I am an adamant non racist," Waltz exclaimed.

Waltz also wouldn't bite on a question about "Django" being the highest grossing western.

"I'm just an actor," he sighed. "I'm not an accountant."
